Day 13:
Last night after we left the hospital around 10pm, the doctors performed a ct scan on Brent's chest. They found some fluid in his lung, this may cause them to add an additional tube in the right lung. When reviewing the scans of the spine they noticed there was a screw in a dangerous location, near a major blood vessel. They have put Brent back on spinal precaution, and we are awaiting news as to when they will fix this issue. Brent's fever is still down- as for now surgery on the left shoulder will be performed tomorrow morning. Brent is now on a clear liquid diet, and he is very thankful to finally getting something to drink!!:) Brent is doing well but still has a long ways to go. Thank you for your prayers! We love you all.

I'm so glad that Brent is improving. I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Brent and his family before I leave Little Rock for the holidays. Maybe I can stop in next week when I get back. All of you are in my daily thoughts and prayers.

It has been so nice having this

have to stay at work all the
time, don't get to hear
everything, so to Brent's
family, we are very thankful to
you for doing this blog.
We are very hopeful and full of
faith that the Lord will give
Brent the physical and metal
strength to keep fighting.
Keep it up Brent and hang in
there!! I know you'll be keeping
all the Dr's and nurses in
stitches w/ your hilarious

Brent, though your recovery will take a lot of strength and faith, you've got enough support to help you and then some along the way. We wish you and your family the best with this process.

Pete, Kathy, Brian and Amanda,
Your lives are turned upside down and you continue to give thanks and praise. You are great examples of faith. Everyone always say, "How can you do this?" or "I would never have been able to do what you are doing!" You guys have been filling your spiritual tanks for years. God has been preparing you you for whatever would come your way, as He does all of His children, and He never would allow such to come to you if He did not think you were able. There appears to be many prayer warriors out there for you and Brent---you and Brent will overcome and God will be glorified through all of this. Hang in there and we will all stay right there with you.
Love from Benny and family

I stumbled upon this blog (coincidence....I don't think so) and have read each entry. Know that prayers are being sent up from Indiana.

In 1995, I sustained a spinal injury in a motocross accident. I won't go into details, but just know that though there are many things in my life I can't do because of my injury, God has revealed new gifts and talents that I can use to glorify Him.

I will be praying for a full recovery for Brent as well as strength for the family.
