Another post from me as in (Brent) ta-da!

Hello!
I guess I could take this time to write about how difficult my life has become but I believe I should be thankful for all the blessings I have received instead. We spend most of our lives worried about how rough we have things and dont take time to look at the small blessings we are given everyday! Since my accident I have been blessed with so many great new friends. My church family at Pleasant Valley has been amazing. I am so glad I have been able to start friendships with new people who I might not have otherwise been able to meet! I have had the privilege of meeting wonderful new people who have boosted my spirits and have given me so much encouragement. I can not sit here and type all the names of the people who have affected my life since the accident, they're too many to name. Both in Arkansas and back home in Florida I have realized that my family is much bigger than I could have ever imagined. However, I have been blessed with prayers from across the country. I have new friends from celebrities (Kevin Everett) to my Occupational Therapist Cristina who has been so sweet to me! I also have to give thanks to my mother who has not been home since December 8th. She has been with me the whole time and has helped me adjust to rehab and my constant medical needs. I love her so much! AWWWW!! (she is right behind me as I type this!) I also want to thank my father for his constantly being there for me and making my life so easy. He just pretty much takes care of everything!

On another note I have not yet stop believing in my complete healing. I know that one day I will get up and walk again I just have to give it time. I was fortunate enough not to have a severed cord which means the sky is the limit on my recovery. However, nerves grow back.....really slowly so patience is a virtue I will have to learn! haha My parents will give an AMEN to that! I will not put a time frame on whatever plan God has for me. I just know that with as much support and love that I have I know I will make the best of my situation. I would like to leave you all with a scripture!

Psalms 50:15 - I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory.

Please continue to pray for me! I love you all!
In Him,
Brent

Actually, you are a blessing to us! Seeing the faith and hope you have in our Lord is just a wonderful blessing to me. With all the trials young people face in this day and time, it is amazing to see how you see a blessing in what has happened to you and how you will use it for the glory of God. YOU ARE A WINNER!!!

Brent, brother, I am so glad to hear from YOU again! After a couple of months of reading messages about how you are doing, constantly praying for you, it's SO WONDERFUL to see that our prayers are being answered right before our very eyes!

Your faith, along w/that of your parents, amazes me. It's such a blessing to witness! I know God has been with you, taking care of you and making you stronger every day, and I pray that He continues to do so. Love you!

It's so good to hear from you. You are in our prayers everyday, several times a day. We were in Crestview Fl. last weekend visiting Clint. We went to the Airport Road Church and opened up the bulletin and your name was at the top of the prayer list. You do have an army of prayer warriors lifting your name up to God and I know He will answer the prayers of rightoues people.
We love you and know the future is bright for you. Take care.
Love,
Christy and Johnny

Brent you are such an inspiration to remain so positive and prayerful during your recovery. I attend PV, but have not met you at this time (heard so much about you). Faith is something that you definitely have and by that you can remain certain that the Lord will continue to bless and watch over you! You will continue to be in my prayers!

Reading what you wrote was so uplifting. Your faith is amazing.

I wanted to leave these with you and your parents....

"God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way."

"The righteous cry and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers them out of them all."
-Psalm 34:17-19

Hi Brent, my name is Jason Fisher. I'm cousins with Bob & Marva Blaise and I'm also a C6-7 incomplete SCI. I was injured in October of 2003. Since then I've attended the Shepherd Center in Atlanta and gone from 100% dependent to 100% independent. I live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment in Gainesville and am getting ready to graduate from UF this May! Stay strong...it's a LONG, hard journey but the end result is worth it. Feel free to contact me anytime with any questions about therapy, transitioning or anything at all! jfish3000@yahoo.com

Hi Brent... I don't know you personally, but have been blessed by your mom's friendship, & my daughter was blessed to have her as one of her first preschool teachers at Mt. Dora Bible School. (I also know of your Dad & Amanda from their church) Having said all that, there's no doubt you are blessed to be surrounded by love & faith beyond measure!...not just from them, but from everyone who knows anyone from your family. Keep the faith!...as we all know, God is awesome & loves to reward His faithful children!! :) I will be adding you & your family to the prayer list at our church in Apopka, FL.
(P.S. - Please tell your mom we said hello, & send our love!) We will keep all of you in our thoughts & prayers, believing with all of you, for a miracle & complete recovery. If there's anything else we can do for any of you, please let us know!!
Take care & GOD BLESS!!
